LE CASTELLA
In this stretch of coast, the beaches feature fine sand of a unique orangish color. The symbol of this well-known resort is the 15th-century Aragonese castle, located on a small island, connected to the shore only by a thin tongue of sand. Scuba diving is also possible during the summer.
CAPO COLONNA
Located on a promontory, a short distance from the town, this archaeological park is home to the shrine dedicated to Hera Lacinia, wife and sister of Zeus. Finds uncovered in this excavation site are now partly in the Crotone Archaeological Museum. These include votive objects, marble and terracotta decorations, and fragments of sculptures.
CROTONE
Ancient and picturesque, Crotone is a city of Greek origin, the remains of which are still preserved in the city's Archaeological Museum. Its traditional food and wines are also excellent, not to mention the beauty of its recently renovated and expanded promenade.
SANTA SEVERINA
This ancient medieval village is located halfway between the Ionian Sea and the mountains of Sila, in the province of Crotone. The town stands on a cliff, in the center of a valley, and has earned the title of one of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages. The great Mediterranean and European civilizations have left important traces of their passage, with artifacts, monuments and objects that can still be admired today.
